Dog sledding weektour in Kiruna
This dogsledding tour is designed for those adventurers who wish to explore the many forests, rivers, lakes and the tundra areas of Swedish Lapland. It is a winter wonderland unequal in any other European region.
Besides the natural beauty and serenity our tour area contains an abundance of bird and animal life, including reindeer, the mainstay of the colourful sami people, moose and fox, with occasional sightings of wolverine, brown bear and lynx. During our tour season the northern lights are clearly viewable on most cloudless nights. Each visitor has an own sled dog team consisting of 3 to 5 huskies. They drive their own sled after learning the fundamentals of sled dogging.
An enjoyable part of this exeperience is that the visitors personally care for their dogs including their daily feeding. Since this is true wilderness experience there is no electricity in the cabins along the trails and candles provide the light, fires of native wood provide the heat.
